TRACTION consists of multiple phases
We believe peer-led prevention efforts are a powerful force in saving lives
Training Conferences
High school students and advisors attend a Summer conference to receive training, develop leadership skills, and learn the action planning process.
Action Plan Implementation
Student teams go back to their schools to implement the action plans they developed at the training conference. These individualized plans aim to solve specific traffic safety problems they’ve identified in their local community.
State Reunion & Expo
In the Spring, TRACTION teams from around the state gather together to share the results of their action plans, and a “Team of the Year” is chosen.
